From a Guide to Romania

Jump to: navigation, search

From the tourist's point of view, Dobrogea is one of the most interesting regions in Romania, as this is the place where we can find both the sunny resorts on the shores of the Black Sea's and the magnificent Reservation of the Danube's Delta.
Among other curiosities, Dobrogea is the place where Europe's youngest dry land (born only 10 000 years ago) meets some of the oldest mountains on the planet - Macinului Mountains (400 billion years ago), so be sure not to miss the fishing villages, the boat rides on the canals of the delta or the sandy beaches and calm, shallow waters to the south, on the seashore.
